Businesses initiating internships for this year’s juniors have until Wednesday, May 16-2016 4:00 PM to submit an application. Funding for applications that are received and approved- an approval decision comes with within 30 days of submission- will be in place for the 2016-17 school year
Businesses initiating internships for this year’s seniors who will exit school in May or June of 2016 also have until Wednesday, May 16-2016 to submit an application. However, if a senior’s application is reviewed within the 30 day window after submission, the student may have graduated and not be eligible for a funded internship. There is great urgency to get a senior’s application in.
For students with IEP’s who may be 18, 19, 20 or 21 years of age and are returning for the 2016-17 school year, the May 16, 2016 deadline also applies and the 30 day window for approval will not present an obstacle.
The HS Internship Program has sufficient funds to support internships. The program will not be accepting new applicants after May 16, 2016
